Ashford District Partnership Group meeting 19th January 2007

32 People attended the meeting, which included a number of organisations. They were from Ashford Day Centre, Saturn Nightclub, Dave from the Ashford Volunteer Centre, Connect Club, Shaw Trust, Adult Learning Disability Team, Health Service, Parents, Carers and people who have a learning disability and  Voice 4 Kent.

We all did a person centered plan and Joy made all of us talk about our plans in a circle. Some were funny some were serious and some were exciting.
People talked about exotic places they would like to visit such as New Zealand, America, Hong Kong and some people wanted to go around the world.
The meeting was great fun with everybody taking part.

Person Centred Planning
Do you:
Have the freedom to choose what you do?
Have control over your life?
Have an ordinary life using ordinary services?
Have real choice?
Have people who help you turn your wishes into possibilities?
Get the services that you want?

If your answer to any of these Questions is no, contact Dave 01233 665535 at the Ashford Volunteer Centre to find out how getting a Person Centred Plan can help.

The volunteers will help people who want to get a plan. They will work with
the person to invite people to join a circle of support and than help to make sure the plan

The volunteer will also be part of a network which will share information and expertise.
